Public Employees Roundtable (PER) is a non-profit, non-partisan coalition of 39 management and professional associations representing more than one million public employees and retirees. Forty-one government agencies and 29 corporations comprise the Associate Council and Corporate Forum respectively.

MISSION STATEMENT The mission of the Public Employees Roundtable is to educate the American public about the contributions government employees make to the quality of their lives, promote espirit de corps and excellence in government, and encourage public service careers.

As part of their outreach efforts, PER has sponsored United States Extemporaneous Speaking at the NFL National Speech Tournament since 1989. This past year at the Halls of Independence National Speech Tournament in Philadelphia, PA, PER partnered with the National Campaign for Public Service, ASPA (American Society for Public Administration) to sponsor U.S. Extemporaneous Speaking. In addition, PER sponsored Commentary.
