The National Forensic League, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, has formulated the following sponsorship policies to ensure that sponsoring partnerships are congruent with the mission, vision, and values of the National Forensic League. Failure to abide by these policies may result in revocation of sponsorship.
• “Sponsorship” may include cash support or in-kind support including time, expertise, space for NFL functions, and/or material goods.
• The NFL has the right to refuse sponsorships to organizations or people whom it feels are incompatible with its goals or mission, including, but not limited to: alcohol, tobacco, firearms/weapons, fireworks, pornography, sweepstakes/gambling, religious causes, political agendas.
• NFL Board of Directors and staff members may not benefit financially from sponsorship.
• Sponsors may not use the name or logo of the NFL without previous written consent from the NFL.
• NFL retains the right to all materials produced as a result of sponsorships.
• The ultimate authority concerning sponsorships rests with the Executive Director and the Board of Directors, who will review relationships every two years.
• Sponsors may renew their sponsorship indefinitely, as long as the Board of Directors and Executive Director consent to a continuing partnership.
• Sponsors are encouraged to meet NFL participants but should not distract, coerce, or harass participants.
• NFL will maintain a publicly-stated policy which recognizes that sponsorship does not constitute endorsement of a particular company, organization, and/or entity.
