One of America's most successful debaters, Bradley P. Ziff, has recently advanced to another top position in the Financial world. Ziff, former Executive Director of the International Swaps and Derivatives Association (ISDA) has accepted a position as Director of Strategy and Business Development for Global Derivatives at Arthur Andersen and Co.
Ziff, an NFL debater at Beverly Hills High School, won such national tournaments as the Miami Beach Forensic Festival, University of Redlands and USC. In extemp he won the NFL District and competed at the 1970 Nationals. Brad graduated with 656 NFL points, tops in the West L.A. NFL district and among the national leaders. Ziff's collegiate debate record is one the most successful of all time. Winner of twenty college tournaments including major events like Kentucky, Northwestern, Dartmouth and Harvard, Ziff was in the final round of the NDT in 1973.
After Georgetown Brad served as legislative consultant to several members of congress, held posts at HUD and the National Academy of Engineering and headed his own consulting firm.
It is in the world of international currency transactions, called swaps or derivatives, where Ziff has established a premier international reputation. Derivatives instruments consist mainly of currency swaps, options, and equity and commodity-indexed transactions which are utilized by financial institutions. The notional value of current contracts is estimated at more that $5 trillion.
