My favorite topic area to debate is Kritiks, because it is something to get you thinking about what you are really saying. All the other topic areas are more technical stuff, but Kritiks gets you more involved with the debate round and can get really interesting sometimes, making the debate more worthwhile and memorable, and increasing your skills as a debater at teh same time.

My favorite topic to debate would have to be reality television. There are so many opinions on the topic and I am a die-hard Survivor fan. So, I guess I need to stick up for my show.

I personally believe the all time best topic I have ever debated was abolishment of the death penalty. In addition, topics that deal with morals and values are fun because people always get very emotional, which leads to a very spirited debate.

Voting age is my favorite topic. Mostly because it's interesting to see what others have to say about lowering the voting age to 16 whne I believe that 18 is still not old enough.

Environmental issues are always fun. They are extremely controversial and the debates can be extremely heated sometimes. Like last year's CX topic about marine natural resources, or like a past LD topic about environmental protection, these types of topics force us to look at the current state of our natural world and make us really thing about whether or not to throw garbage on the ground again.
